Job Summary

Summary
Responsible to assist the Dietitian in the provision of nutrition services to broad patient population. This includes appropriate meals, between meal nourishments, and special formulas required by each individual patient

Essential Functions
Provides nutrition assessment of patients


Provides diet counseling to patients which includes education, discharge information, tracking, menu selection, etc.

Assesses patient calorie counts, % of food consumed by patient, conducts meal round, diet restriction monitoring, etc.


Maintains pertinent records

Required for All Jobs
Performs other duties as assigned


Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications


Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required or
Associate’s Degree Dietetics preferred

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No


Licenses and Credentials

Dietetic Technician, Registered [DTR] preferred



Experience

dietician experience with multiple patient populations 1-2 years preferred


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good communication skills.
High level of service delivery.
Attention to detail.
Computer proficiency.
