We are looking for a full-time Business Development Representative to join our team and help drive new revenue!

Responsibilities
  • Our Business Development Representative sits within our Sales organization and works alongside customer-facing teams to find qualified new sales opportunities for our Account Executive team. As a Business Development Representative, you will:
  • Manage all inbound and outbound sales campaigns. This includes:
  • Researching and identifying potential clients and decision-makers
  • Writing and testing new sales cadencesReporting campaign results
  • Prospect, cold call, and generate new leads to drive our sales pipeline
  • Focus on increasing lead-to-opportunity conversion percentage and new sales qualified leads
  • Qualify leads using BANT qualification criteria
  • Schedule appointments for our Account Executives
  • Track and report all sales activities using Salesforce
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to drive new leads from target verticals and markets


Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Business Development Representative with a focus on outbound sales
  • Shipping and SaaS experience
  • Proficient with CRM software and outbound tools (Salesforce, Similarweb, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

$95,625 – $129,375 a year

Our Compensation Shippolicy
Here at Shippo, we believe compensation is a custom experience and we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base + variable pay range for this role is min $95,625 to a max $129,375 annual. We tend to anchor our pay at $100k with most offers that we make. Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range (as noted above) for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.
The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: financial budgets, work experience, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market value. The base pay salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future. Total compensation for this role will include, equity, medical, dental, vision and other benefits noted in our Shippos “package” section

Shippos in the wild
Our people, much like the packages we help ship, are all over the world. This means, through our remote-first program, “Shippos Everywhere”, our roles can be based anywhere in the US with the exception of Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Hawaii, New Mexico and West Virginia and many roles can be based internationally.
