POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor Overnight (WS) plays a key role in ensuring warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently during the overnight shift. This role includes the supervision of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The WS will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to implement strategies for productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. The WS is expected to set a positive example for warehouse associates by exhibiting a commitment to organizational values and helping to cultivate a high performing culture.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise, train, and evaluate overnight warehouse staff. Provide direction and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with company policies.

Oversee nightly warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Ensure all processes are followed accurately and efficiently.

Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Inventory Control team to manage stock levels, prevent discrepancies, and handle inventory adjustments.

Ensure all orders are processed correctly and meet quality standards. Address any issues or discrepancies in order fulfillment.

Track and report on key performance metrics, such as order accuracy, productivity, and employee performance. Implement improvements as needed.

Maintain clear communication with day shift supervisors, warehouse managers, and other departments to ensure seamless operation and coordination.

Address and resolve any operational or personnel issues that arise during the shift. Implement corrective actions as necessary.

Maintain accurate records related to warehouse operations, including shift reports, inventory logs, and incident reports.

Assist management with other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education or relevant certifications are a plus.

Minimum of 3 years previous experience as a warehouse supervisor, preferably in a food distribution or logistics environment. Experience managing overnight shifts is a plus.

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team, as well as assign roles and responsibilities.

Extensive practical knowledge in warehouse management systems (WMS)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook & Excel).

Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations as well as warehouse safety procedures

Ability to operate and maintain warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, coolers, freezers, electronic scales, etc.

Ability to work in both hot (non-air-conditioned) and cold (cooler/freezer) environments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Hours of Operation: Organization hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This position works from Sunday – Thursday 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and may work additional hours occasionally throughout the year, during peak times such as holiday seasons, and disaster response.

Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting with varying periods of standing, or outside, sometimes in inclement weather talking, and/or visual concentration, and use of office equipment. Must maintain warehouse safety standards. Occasional work will occur in an office setting. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Travel: This position may have occasional travel for meetings, conferences, or special events which may require the use of a personal vehicle.

OSHA Standards: Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
