Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

As Senior Manager, WHS Marketing Digital Retail Media, you will lead the Retail Media Network (RMN) strategy across key wholesale account partners. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and managing RMN investments to drive brand awareness, traffic, and sell-through across digital platforms.

Reporting to the Director, Wholesale Marketing, you will partner with cross-functional teams to execute data-driven media strategies, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives while maximizing return on ad spend (ROAS). You will oversee media investments, performance tracking, and digital retail marketing activations to enhance consumer engagement and revenue growth.



This role requires a deep understanding of digital media, ecommerce, and paid media ecosystems, ensuring seamless execution across digital retail touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:


Retail Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute the Retail Media Network (RMN) strategy across key wholesale partners, ensuring a scalable approach across established and emerging retail media platforms.
  • Own the planning, execution, and reporting of digital media investments to drive adidas’ visibility, engagement, and conversion across digital retail.
  • Ensure RMN activations are aligned with brand priorities, seasonal campaigns, and product launches.
  • Partner with external Retail Media Networks, agencies, and digital publishers to ensure best-in-class execution.
  • Stay ahead of evolving retailer digital ecosystems, shopper trends, and regional differences to identify opportunities for increased brand visibility and engagement.

Media & Content Activation


  • Lead paid media and content marketing strategies within wholesale digital environments to drive consumer engagement.
  • Oversee display, sponsored search, and programmatic media within RMN platforms, optimizing for cost efficiency and performance KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Brand Communications and Digital Activation teams to ensure content is tailored for retail media and drives conversion.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of consumer behavior, media consumption trends, and emerging technologies to refine activation strategies.
  • Evaluate global digital marketing tools for relevance in RMN activations and drive necessary market-specific adaptations to optimize impact.

Performance Measurement & Budget Optimization

  • Own budget management and allocation for RMN investments, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize ROAS and marketing impact.
  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to track campaign effectiveness, share of voice (SOV), and media efficiency across digital retail partners.
  • Analyze retailer sales data, consumer insights, and digital KPIs to drive optimization strategies and refine targeting and investment decisions.
  • Continually test, learn, and evolve digital marketing and paid media approaches based on performance data.
  • Ensure RMN investments directly contribute to account-level sales performance and optimize activations to drive higher sell-through rates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership


  • Work closely with Wholesale Marketing, Sales, Digital Activation, and Merchandising teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market plans.
  • Lead collaboration with wholesale partners’ RMN teams, ensuring adidas’ media strategy is fully optimized for retail conversion and brand growth.
  • Partner with Finance and Business Development teams to ensure marketing investments drive measurable business impact.
  • Manage direct reports and cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on digital marketing excellence.

Key Relationships:

  • Retail Media Networks & Wholesale Account Partners – Lead engagement with Kohl’s RMN, Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and other RMNs.
  • Sales & Merchandising Teams – Align digital marketing strategies with sales goals and product priorities.
  • Collaborate with Media, Brand Strategy, and Newsroom teams to ensure RMN activations align with adidas’ broader brand storytelling and digital media approach.
  • Finance & Business Development – Optimize budget planning and investment allocation to maximize return.
  • Global & NAM Marketing Teams – Align RMN strategy with global brand objectives and retail initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Deep expertise in Retail Media Networks (RMNs), paid media, and ecommerce digital advertising.
  • Proven ability to optimize retail media investments and drive measurable growth through paid media.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven decision-making, analytics, and media reporting.
  • Experience managing large marketing budgets and ROI-driven media strategies.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams and external partners.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to execute complex digital marketing campaigns.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment.

Requisite Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing, retail media, ecommerce, or paid media strategy.
  • Proven track record of managing Retail Media Network (RMN) strategies across wholesale or ecommerce partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in media performance measurement, ROAS tracking, and KPI reporting.
  • Previous experience in wholesale, consumer retail, or digital commerce preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and media analytics platform proficiency.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree
