This position is located on site in San Francisco.
The Q3 Engineering team is a strong, accomplished organization of quality experts that strongly believes in Quality and Innovation. We are passionate about Quality, tooling, and engineering efficiency. We believe in being a trusted advisor to our feature teams. The Service Cloud Q3 team has been around for 9 years, championing Quality for Service Cloud. We are a strong 30-member team spread across Amer/EU/India regions. The team supports product quality for Service Cloud ($9 Billion revenue business) across multiple time zones. We are Quality advocates, Quality educators, and Quality Auditors for the cloud.
We’re hiring Q3 engineers to come and help us build the next generation of products. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the finest Quality experts supporting all Service cloud Products and developing productivity tools for improving test effectiveness , Test frameworks and test environments across the organization /As a Q3 engineer, you will influence the design and drive our #1 value, Trust, across teams.
Responsibilities
- Independently design and deliver code for products with a quality mindset.
- Provides guidance through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within their scrum team.
- Master the Salesforce development process and code base, in order to improve it.
- Analysis and Design: Participate in a Test Design Review Board for integration test plans within and across clouds with focus on functional, business, sophisticated scenarios, high impact projects, usability, and accessibility
- Successfully understand clouds requirements (e.g. underlying techstack, business usage, implementation)
- Create end-to-end, cross cloud-impacting, integration automation (API and UI) with complex orgs
- Work with customers to understand real life usage, build test cases
- Implement Testing with org setup, varied data shapes
- Organize and drive cross product testing
- Advocate for customer enhancements
- Monitor product and/or feature-level quality health metrics (testability, test health, test coverage, etc)
- Works closely with senior developers, PM, and UX to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues
Required Skills
- 5+ years of related experience in quality engineering
- Highly proficient in Java and Javascript and the associated toolchains (git, maven, npm, etc)
- A related technical degree required
- Fluent with automation technologies such as JUnit, Jest, Selenium and Jenkins
- Solid understanding of REST principles
- Proficient in writing functional automation (UI/API)
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrates problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, should be able to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $172,000 to $236,500.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
