We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Specialty Unit (4-S) team.


The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required
  • Work within Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures
  • Implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel
  • Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with Hospitals standards
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
  • Foster a culture of patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning of current policies and processes


Qualifications:


Education:

  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (non-essential)


Experience:

  • No minimum experience required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (non-essential)


Credentials:

  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days
  • RN licensure in NM or reciprocal agreement
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty (non-essential)

Physical Conditions:

  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people

Working conditions:

  • Significant Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials require PPE
