Punch Press Operator Responsibilities

  • Follow all Safety rules and guidelines including, Including wearing PPE (Safety Glasses and Hearing Protection when Required) and Machine Guarding
  • Feeding material into the Machine & Unloading Processed Parts
  • Product Inspection using Calipers, Tape Measure to Ensure Parts were Manufactured Correctly, Check Qty’s to be sure they Match Set-Up Sheets.
  • Tool Maintenance
  • Performs Machine Maintenance and Safety Checks Daily
  • Mechanical Aptitude and Use of Basic Hand Tools (Drill, Grinder, Palm Sander, Ect)
  • Ability to Read Manufacturing Drawings
  • Standing, Pushing, Pulling & Reaching

Punch Press Operator Requirements


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ Years of Relevant work Experience Running a Punch Press
  • Fork Truck Experience
  • Works Well in a Fast-Paced Environment
  • Knowledge of Punch Tools & Clearances for Different Material Types & Thicknesses
  • Can Read Drawings and Sketches
  • Ability to use Calipers, Tape Measure
  • Can Read a Tape Measure to a 1/64”
  • Lift & Carry up to 50 lbs.
