Master Control Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control on-air broadcasts to ensure technical quality, accuracy, and adherence to program schedules.
• Operate and maintain broadcast equipment, including servers, automation systems, routers, and switchers.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on broadcast equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth transitions between programs and timely resolution of any technical issues.
• Record, log, and report any technical issues or errors during broadcasts.
• Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and company policies.
• Participate in training and development programs to maintain technical skills and knowledge of industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
• Some college preferred or prior experience as a master control operator or in a similar technical broadcast role.

Skills:

• Proficiency in operating and maintaining broadcast equipment and software, including servers, automation systems, routers, and switchers.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments and resolve issues quickly.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings.
