Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Food and Beverage Project Management Office and Operations on the Hotel Operations Team reporting to the SVP, Food and Beverage.
This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida
Position Summary :
The Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) and Operations is responsible for overseeing teams and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and project manage teams, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and adherence to established methodologies and developing new ones.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively across projects, ensuring optimal utilization and addressing any resource constraints proactively.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness to meet changing goals and deadlines.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular reports to senior management on project performance.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high performance.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Creative and analytical thinking to develop solutions for project challenges.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
