The primary focus of the LOGISTICS CARRIER SPECIALIST is the daily coordination and dispatch of White Glove OTR shipments.  Position would be responsible for carrier communication on the status of freight and dispatching/updating existing orders. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Responsible for sourcing carrier capacity using dispatch tools such as Sylectus, DAT and our own internal carrier lists.

·        Coordinating carrier vetting using tools such as RMIS and Carrier 411.

·        Providing updates to our account managers on load statuses and updating our TMS to reflect these updates.

·        Growing our carrier network to increase dedicated capacity on lanes that we run regularly along with spot market capacity.

·        Strategic planning to consolidate long haul shipments.

·        Creating loads in our TMS to ensure on time pickup/deliveries based on client needs.

·        Connecting drivers to Macropoint and monitoring that they have accepted the tracking and keep it active for the duration of the load.

·        Project management developing carrier solutions for our customers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

College degree in Business / Supply Chain Management preferred. Minimum two years’ experience with 3PL or White Glove Van-line dispatching.   Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, great verbal and written communication skills are required.
