Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center

We have immediate openings for Licensed Therapists in Fort Lauderdale!

*Must be Licensed in the State of Florida*


The PHP/IOP Therapist works with individuals to help them overcome psychological/emotional issues. The PHP/IOP Therapist will demonstrate the ability to perform group, individual, and family therapy.

They will also perform psychosocial assessments and formulate treatment plans. The therapist will be able to recognize crisis situations and provide interventions.

The ability to work collaboratively with peers, administrators, physicians, and allied staff is a must.

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center, a subsidiary of UHS, is a beautiful, conveniently located, private 182-bed hospital that specializes in the treatment of drug addiction, mental health issues, and concurrent disorders for adults as well as adolescents. Education/Training:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or mental health-related field.


• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent


Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years experience in the mental health field.

Licensure / Certification:


• CPR certification

• Preferred licensure as LCSW, LMHC, or CAP


Knowledge and Skills:

• Well organized


• Works independently

• Ability to conduct group therapy sessions


• Ability to make decisions under pressure and manage stress appropriately.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)


• Good customer service skills

• Aware of community resources available to coordinate discharge planning/referrals.


• Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
