WHAT AWAITS YOU.
- Support the Strategy and Foresight team by translating research and signals of change into actionable design insights
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (designers, consultants, researchers) to develop early-stage innovation concepts
- Contribute to internal knowledge-building through trend analysis, cultural mapping, and future scenario exploration
- Conduct market, behavioral, and technological trend research to inform project and client strategy
- Organize and maintain an innovation archive (e.g., trend boards or foresight canvases) to support team inspiration and ideation
- Assist in workshops, synthesis sessions, and deliverables development (e.g., vision decks, opportunity maps, strategy playbooks)
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have completed at least 60 college credits or be at least a rising Junior
- Field of study: Design Strategy, Innovation, Foresight, Business, Human-Centered Design, or a related field
- Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
- Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)
- Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)
- Strong research, synthesis, and storytelling skills; ability to translate complex information into visual and written insights
- Preferred: familiarity with collaborative tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Adobe Suite) and strategic frameworks (e.g., STEEP, Futures Wheel)

This is a full-time internship position for our Summer, Fall Rotation, from July 14, 2025 through December 12, 2025 in Santa Monica, CA.
The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $29.90
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $36.80
The selected student’s academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
