Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional nights and weekends as the business needs require.
Job Summary
The Healthy Kentucky Initiatives Senior Coordinator will lead and support activities related to strategic planning and project management to advance the health of the UK campus, community, and Commonwealth. Collaborating with stakeholders across UKHC, the UK campus, and the community, they will oversee team communication, manage timelines, and ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes. This role also provides advanced research and analytical support for opportunity identification, project scoping, and business case development.

This role will focus on the following:


– Lead the development and implementation of recommendations for community health initiatives for clinical and executive leadership decision-making based on market trends, data, gaps-in-service, and other community health needs. 
-Act as program manager for the collaborative Land-grant engagement and health projects working closely with UK Cooperative Extension, county extension agents, healthcare partners and community based organizations.
– Oversee the implementation of new priority initiatives related to disease prevention & management and holistic wellness that leverage internal expertise and align with relevant community and campus initiatives.
– Partner with Marketing & Brand Strategy and Corporate Communications to guide content creation and strategic direction for communicating and marketing the Healthy Kentucky Initiatives to internal and external audiences.

Track, analyze, and develop advanced tools and resources for the Healthy Kentucky Initiative.
Mentor and support junior coordinators and team members in their professional development and project execution.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent time management capabilities with strong attention to detail. Outcome-oriented, with ability to balance competing priorities. Strong administrative and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and has the ability to work in various mapping and analytical tools, specifically Tableau. Self-directs and self-educates on future external impact factors; appropriately summarizes and makes recommendations to team. Works collaboratively with external consultants.

Preferred Education/Experience
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university is required with preference given to degrees in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Administration, Community Development or business-related field. Five (5) years of work experience in project management or administration. Experience in a complex, matrix and academic medical center environments is preferred.
