Description:
Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics company as an Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) on our Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team! This position will support the F-35 Program at our MCAS Yuma, Arizona location.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer (FSE) to serve as a Nose to Tail (NTT) expert, providing technical support and guidance to the USMC on-site customer. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS) and Airframe Powerplant Generalist (APG)/Vehicle Systems (VS), with a strong foundation in Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities:
• As a member of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team, the successful candidate will serve as the technical interface to the USMC on-site customer, providing expert guidance and support in resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for the F-35 aircraft. This will include:
• Collaborating with USMC customers to identify and resolve technical issues
• Providing expert advice and guidance on Avionics/MS, APG/VS, and SLO/Structures
• Troubleshooting and analyzing complex technical problems
• Developing and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize aircraft availability
• Attend debriefings to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that require company intervention to avoid aircraft downtime.
• Document all unusual operation / maintenance problems to ensure the company is apprised of and can identify emerging failure trends.
• Provide training to customer personnel. Must be able to work and interact with the maintainer as well as the professional engineers from other F-35 companies as a peer.
• Selected candidate must be willing and able to work second or third shift as needed.
• Travel required; candidates must be willing and able to deploy with customer to possible hazardous duty locations. Long term deployments may be required both ashore and aboard Naval Ships. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required.
• Must be able to obtain F-35 Special Program Access. Must have at a Active Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that will require special access.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
• 7 years total 4th or 5th Generation Aircraft experience (F-16, F-22 or F-35). Experience must include Avionics/Mission Systems (MS) and Vehicle Systems (VS)/ APG.
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required, but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:
• SLO / LO experience
• Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience
• Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level
• Technical report writing skills
• Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation
• Experience with Engineering tools to include but not limited to PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS and CRE
• Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)
• Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
