What does this role look like?


As an Electronics Engineer, you will design and develop hardware and circuits for complex satellite test and measurement systems utilizing Common Off the Shelf (COTS) and custom hardware and software tools as well as, perform hardware engineering best practices to include: requirements analysis, design, and software/hardware integration.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:


• Interface with Lab Technical Leads, Hardware Engineers and Software Engineers to design and develop hardware and circuits for complex satellite test and measurement systems utilizing COTS and custom hardware and software tools.

• Perform hardware engineering best practices to include:
— Requirements analysis
— Requirements documentation
— Design
— Software/hardware integration
— Post-deployment support.


• Participate and contribute to technical design reviews and audits of design products.
This position requires interaction, planning and coordination with cross-functional development teams, internal and external customers across multiple satellite programs.
Occasional domestic travel may be required to support formal test and delivery.

• Maintain the system test bed lab Hardware


To be effective in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.


• 2+ years of professional experience.

• While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline.



• Experience or coursework in electrical circuit design and troubleshooting.

• Experience interpreting and creating electronic schematics



• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience with digital/analog electronics (such as design, circuit analysis, etc.)
• Knowledge of Electrical/Electronics Engineering circuit fundamentals (analog, digital, mixed)
• Experience with test and measurement equipment e.g., Digital Voltmeter, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Function generator, data and signals capture instrumentations
• Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software failures
• Knowledge in software/firmware, test consoles, cable designs, interface panels and custom chassis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 – $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $80,600 – $139,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
