WWT’s Integration Technology Center teams work in a climate-controlled production environment with advanced networking, secure remote access, and certified procedures specifically designed for staging, kitting, and configuring the latest advanced technology solutions. The team consists of certified engineers with logistical and technical expertise to help reduce the risk, cost, and complexity of IT deployments.



A Brief OverviewThe Director of Production Operations is responsible for developing the vision and strategic plan for producing high-quality WWT solutions. This position will be responsible for developing a cross-trained Production team, building robust processes capable of absorbing significant volume, and world-class quality utilizing LEAN manufacturing principles, as well as increasing and enhancing production-related communications. In addition to production data analytics, driving scaling and efficiency and directing staff in support our department goals and objectives. The position reports to a Senior Director or Vice President of Operations.

Job Responsibilities


  • Manages team responsible for execution of customer requested services inside of our Integration Center
  • Strategically creates and improves organization’s equipment operation best practices ensuring operators adhere to policy
  • Review the operating strategy in the context of business goals and market dynamics to identify key process improvement opportunities within the business unit/function.
  • Hold managers and employees accountable for successfully implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Compare overall business performance before and after large and complex process improvements to analyze the impact.
  • Synthesize information on past performance, sales forecasts and marketing projections and provides guidance to business leaders on longer-term capacity planning solutions (e.g., adding capital equipment and modifying the layout of production facilities).
  • Develop new strategies and designs to effectively order, ship and manage warehouse materials in order to ensure a consistent flow for production and satisfy demand
  • Shape the business process and protocols for effectively and efficiently diagnosing problems and revealing the root cause.
  • Strategically resolve the most complex or unusual problems escalated to this level; guide teams across disciplines to implement effective resolutions.
  • Ensure that solutions for complex issues achieve the organization’s objectives and standards, providing strategic guidance if an alternative plan needs to be developed.
  • Lead discussions with multiple stakeholders, reiterating and reflecting on various (and sometimes conflicting) messages to ensure broad understanding.
  • Recognize a spectrum of verbal and nonverbal/behavioral cues and coaches others on how to observe and interpret those cues.
  • Validate and lead others to come to agreement on a point of view or solutions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to managers in structuring projects and goals of the business unit/function.
  • Coordinate complex projects and provides guidance and training to managers or project leaders, ensuring that project teams remain focused on goals and deadlines.
  • Promote efficiency and time management in the business unit/function by modeling behaviors such as prompt decision making and meeting deadlines; reward the achievement of timely results.
  • Promote WWT safety guidelines.
  • Drive teams to maintain a clean and organized (5S) warehouse operation.
  • Responsible for developing a production succession plan to ensure business and personnel success. Develops personnel by educating, inspiring, and leading by example.
  • Responsible for developing Production business continuity plans.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 15+ years in a Manufacturing or Production environment
  • 10+ years’ experience in leading a team, including leaders/supervisors
  • Basic understanding of LEAN methodology and concepts is strongly preferred.

  • Seasoned leader with responsibility for managing similar activities of multiple departments, work units or teams while developing short to medium term action plans for accomplishing functional/business unit objectives.
  • Develops operational goals consistent with approved functional/business unit strategy and within company policy.
  • Performance maximization in the short to medium term with secondary focus on influencing the strategy of a function/business unit.
  • Leads team(s) of managers and professionals to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Presents and produces work for the highest level of functional/business unit leadership.
  • Requires a high proficiency in leadership, problem solving, and ability to influence others.
  • May include advanced technical positions that require the highest degree of innovative and conceptual thinking within a technologic discipline (viewed as an external expert in field of study).
  • This role includes assignment of work for specific WWT customers. Some customers have specific on-boarding requirements, including background check and drug testing requirements that go beyond WWT’s requirements. Ability to meet these requirements may be necessary for continued employment, depending on needs of the department.

Level of Autonomy

Works with minimal direction toward predetermined long-range goals. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining desired results. Takes calculated risks.



Compensation/ Benefits

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $116,000-150,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
