The Sr. Commercial Diversity InDirect (Reseller) Program Manager’s primary responsibility is to develop, maintain, and grow sales with current and potential customers. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external strategic plan that ensures MSC ongoing profitable growth with the small and diverse resellers.

  • Performs a leadership role among the Program Managers, Account Management Team and all relevant parties; both internal and external associated with the InDirect reseller program. Offers guidance, support and project management to build and execute programs.
  • Effectively develops, leads, and executes sales strategies that ensures ongoing profitable growth while building a positive brand in the market for the MSC InDirect Diversity Program.
  • Identifies and prioritizes, with the assistance of various functional areas, opportunities for improvement of the InDirect program and process enhancements relative to scalable growth.
  • Develops a strategic program for MSC that focus on how MSC can do business as a Prime Contract holder with MBE’s & as a wholesale provider of goods and services for small business in the commercial marketplace.
  • Leads and maintains corporate relationships and contract oversight.
  • Takes accountability for the development of solutions and processes to existing challenges and looks towards the future to anticipate potential problems with the InDirect Commercial Program.
  • Prepares and presents Program Agreements & Statements of Work that address the program commitments within established and new Contracts, RFQs, and Program Opportunities
  • Develops and fosters a high performing and respectful team environment for all associates
  • Interprets sales goals and initiatives so that priorities can be balanced, manages timelines in a cost-effective manner.
  • Participates and leads management level meetings, provides input for all InDirect commercial projects and opportunities under discussion.
  • Displays coaching style leadership with internal and external stakeholders while managing the performance of the InDirect commercial programs. Participates in quarterly business reviews.
  • Develops training and collateral material as applicable for the InDirect Diversity & Commercial programs.
  • Manages successful utilization of the InDirect Reseller program with the assistance of the field.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture with the Gov’t Team and throughout MSC to ensure fulfillment of the organizations vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or the equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years sales management and leadership experience with complex customers.
  • Demonstrable familiarity with the commercial contracting structure, small business value propositions, diversity spend goals, and targeted socio-economic requirements.
  • Experience with large commercial business procurement process; Request for Quotes, Contracts, Request for Information.   
  • Has a background with Operations, Logistics and Transportation programs including cost to serve elements relevant to growing a profitable Commercial InDirect Reseller program.
  • Has a demonstrated ability to build a business plan that incorporates multiple cross functional departments to help drive an MSC Commercial/National Account Program with a Strategic Plan.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with all Microsoft office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, are required.
  • Must be a continual learner and display a high level of business acumen in working with large complex customers
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and planning skills are necessary
  • Analytical and Strategic thinking required.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and processes are required.
  • Understanding of financial performance and profitability is required.
  • Business analysis experience and the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and team building skills and techniques are required.


  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel 50% or more of the time is required. 
  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).

Compensation starting at $79590 – $125070 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.  The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
