As the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you’ll be an integral part of the hotel’s leadership team, supporting the strategic direction, daily operations, and guest experience across all food and beverage operations, including stewarding and F&B purchasing. From overseeing the 24-hour Market, Twin Crafts Bar, managing events, and our fine dining experience at Quail + Crane restaurant, you’ll ensure operational excellence, drive financial performance, inspire a culture of genuine hospitality, and create a colleague culture of care, through our Purpose, Values, and Leadership Profile.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Director of F&B in the leadership and day-to-day operations of the hotel’s F&B division, including restaurants, lounges, market, and banquet operations.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing F&B leaders and front-line colleagues in accordance with Hyatt brand and company values.
• Ensure a seamless guest experience that reflects Grand Hyatt’s high standards and luxury positioning.
• Drive revenue through effective cost control, labor management, and upselling initiatives.
• Collaborate with culinary, events, and sales teams to execute flawless banquets, meetings, and special events.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, union labor agreements, and brand standards.
• Analyze guest feedback and financial reports to identify areas of improvement and innovation.
• Oversee the Stewarding Department in their daily operations, scheduling, payroll and coaching/counseling.
• Involved in F&B purchases and partnering with our storeroom clerks in the purchasing department.
This is a salaried position with compensation ranging from $83,600-$125,500.

Qualifications
• 4 years or more of progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience (typically with Hyatt)
• Service-oriented style with professional presentation skill
• Proven leadership skill
• Hotel/Hospitality degree is an asset and preferred
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, and ability to improve the bottom line
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skill
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skill
• Experience implementing new F&B concepts
