POSITION SUMMARY
The Audio Video (AV) & IT Technician is a full-time, hands-on role responsible for executing high-quality audiovisual support for events at McGregor Square and providing daily AV/IT support for property operations. This position ensures the successful setup, operation, and breakdown of AV systems during meetings, conferences, and special events, while also delivering responsive Tier 1 IT support for hardware, software, and infrastructure needs.
The Technician collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, event clients, and the Coors Field AV/IT team to maintain a seamless and reliable technology experience. As a member of the tasks beyond AV and IT functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Audio Visual (AV) Support:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment including microphones, speakers, mixers, TVs, projectors, lighting, AV wall plates, and display systems.
- Manage AV for a variety of events, including meetings, parties, and presentations, ensuring smooth transitions and on-the-fly adjustments.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand event requirements and deliver optimal AV solutions.
- Connect laptops and mobile devices to AV systems for media playback and presentations.
- Maintain an organized inventory of AV equipment, accessories, and cables.
- Support AV infrastructure in conference rooms, including podiums, touch panels, and wall interfaces.
- Follow technical documentation including event run-of-show documents, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Update content on digital signage throughout McGregor Square.
- Provide on-site client interaction and technical support during events.
- Daily quality control checks to verify all AV related equipment is working properly. This includes TV inspection-replacing any TV not operational, Daktronics LED inspection, provide detailed logs on any issues during inspection walk.
- Attend weekly meetings for all upcoming related AV needs.
- Coordinate with Coors Field AV Engineering Team for escalated needs, scheduling, and recommend equipment improvements.
IT Technician Support:
- Deliver Tier 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, VoIP phones, access control, network issues, and surveillance systems.
- Support and configure hardware and software for internal users.
- Provide front-line support for Toast POS systems, BrightSign/ScreenCloud displays, and security camera platforms.
- Coordinate with the Coors Field IT team for escalated issues, shared systems, and project initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, service resolutions, and IT inventory.
- Assist in evaluating technology upgrades and process improvements.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs. (e.g., speakers, projectors, cables, lighting equipment).
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders/stairs frequently during event setup and equipment installation.
- Ability to use fine motor skills for tasks like connecting cables, operating devices, and adjusting settings.
- Vision required to read screens, troubleshoot displays, and identify small labels or ports.
- Hearing required to monitor audio quality and communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and clients.
- Must be able to follow technical instructions, multitask, and stay focused in high-pressure environments.
- Be able to drive to pick up necessary parts for job project.
WORKING CONDITIONS / SCHEDULE
- Full-time position averaging 40 hours per week.
- Schedule flexibility is required to accommodate events, evenings, weekends, and holidays. On non-event days, the hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Events can occur on nights and weekends and will require flexing the daily schedule to cover the events.
- Some overtime may be required depending on event load or IT projects.
- Work is primarily performed on-site at McGregor Square, with occasional support at Coors Field.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, AVIXA CTS) preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in AV support and IT help desk or technician work.
- Comfortable working in a live production or event-based setting with changing demands.
- Strong knowledge of AV signal flow, mixing, display systems, and control interfaces.
- Proficient with common office applications and operating systems (Windows/macOS).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Have a valid Driver’s License

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly Rate: $27.00-$29.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for company benefits, including:
