Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include: fairly active – regularly standing/walking with objects up to 10 lbs., and regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time (includes repetitive motions), may have to restrain patients, etc.
Shift
Must be able to work four 8:00 am-6:00 pm shifts per week, including every other weekend and some holidays.
Job Summary
The Dietetics Technician performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team, assisting the Registered Dietitian in safe and timely placement of Cortrak feeding tubes while ensuring customer satisfaction and positive public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will be a Dietetic Technician Registered or have completed a degree in Dietetics; will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects while accurately completing routine functions in a fast-paced, high intensity, professional work environment; will enjoy working closely with co-workers in a supportive team environment; will possess strong computer (including Microsoft Office), customer service, and active listening skills; and will demonstrate dependability and excellent attention to detail.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Dietetic Technician Registered or degree in Dietetics highly preferred.
