About Duke Health’s Patient Revenue Management Organization
Pursue your passion for caring with the Patient Revenue Management Organization, which is Duke Health’s fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions.
General Description of the Job Class
Coordinates and participates in clinic service activities to achieve continuous and optimal patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
- Assists with the development and administration of all new hires’ orientation and training.
- Assists with educating users on proper workflow as it pertains to HIM
- Workflow and schedule coordination.
- Addresses minor HR-related conflicts.
- Coordinates team meetings.
- Monthly quality review.
- Oversight of Assigned WQs.
- Meets weekly with management.
- Coordinates QA and training review sessions.
- Maintains a log for issues and complaints for both customers and employees.
- Addresses customer complaints at the initial stage prior to escalation to management.
- Coordinates assignments, performs quality audits, and provides routine feedback to new hires.
- Coordinates progressive learning and validates
competencies of new hires as demonstrated on Competency Tracking. - Coordinates introduction to Employee Engagement Initiatives.
- Provides weekly updates to management regarding overall progress, competency achievements, and productivity performance for each new hire through the 90-day probation period.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve, develop working relationships, and assist system users.
Expert computer skills to navigate and query multiple electronic systems are required.
Intermediate to expert skills using Windows-based software and familiarity with information technology hardware and software in a local and wide area network environment.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in high-pressure situations. before

Education
High school diploma required.
Experience
Four years of experience in a healthcare setting is required. An associate’s degree in healthcare or business may substitute for two years of experience. A bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare may substitute for four years of experience.
