Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in mechanical and electromechanical systems. This role will focus on the design, development, and production support of advanced aviation components. The ideal candidate will have experience with prototyping, testing, and transitioning products into automated manufacturing environments, with an emphasis on quality, precision, and efficiency.



 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for electromechanical aviation components.
  • Collaborate with R&D and design teams on prototype testing, validation, and product launch.
  • Support the development and implementation of automated production systems, including laser processing and electrical switch integration.
  • Develop and maintain engineering change requests (ECRs) and process routers to ensure production readiness.
  • Oversee the design and manufacture of injection-molded parts, ensuring DFM principles are applied.
  • Apply material science knowledge to ensure proper adhesion and bonding of components during assembly.
  • Utilize 3D mechanical design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA) to modify and refine part and assembly designs.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality and throughput.
  • Coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.


 

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in electromechanical component design and manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with prototype testing and validation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical switches and integration into mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with 3D mechanical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Experience with injection molding and related manufacturing techniques.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation including ECRs, process routers, and BOMs.
  • Understanding of material properties related to adhesion, bonding, and mechanical integrity.
  • Knowledge of laser processing and automated assembly systems is highly desirable.


 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (FAA, AS9100, etc.).
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification
