Your New Role
The Technology Strategic Sourcing (TSS) Manager at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to execute enterprise-level sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, and support category management across mid-to-high value technology areas. This role will partner closely with WBD Technology organizations and contribute to cross-functional procurement initiatives. The TSS Manager will operate as a strategic contributor, driving supplier performance and delivering value through procurement best practices. This role reports to the TSS Director.
Your Role Accountabilities
CONTRACT NEGOTIATION
The Manager will support and lead negotiations for mid-to-highly complex technology transactions.
Supports the development of enterprise contract strategies by gathering and synthesizing stakeholder requirements across regions and functions. Interprets contract terms, identifying risks, and helping draft custom protections to inform current and future negotiations. Collaborates closely with Legal to address contractual issues and with Finance to ensure alignment on budgets and commercial objectives. Negotiates pricing, SOWs, SLAs, and other operational terms-particularly with large Fortune 500 vendors-while supporting alignment with WBD’s broader strategic relationships. Identifies cross-business opportunities by analyzing supplier activity across WBD and recommending strategic concessions and fallbacks. Manages the negotiation process in coordination with senior team members, ensuring appropriate alignment with leadership on strategy, positioning, and risk mitigation. Understands vendor solutions and WBD’s technology landscape to enhance negotiation strategies using competition, benchmarked terms, and volume leverage. Drives deals toward closure by applying strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, and by facilitating collaboration across multifunctional teams.
PROCESS & OPERATIONS
The Manager will support sourcing operations and vendor engagement processes, contributing to operational excellence.
Manages end-to-end RFX and competitive bidding processes for technology vendor selection, ensuring alignment with WBD’s enterprise objectives. Evaluates vendor solutions with attention to long-term alignment with WBD’s technology roadmap and enterprise-wide impact. Ensures adherence to WBD’s sourcing and procurement policies, while supporting operational discipline and risk mitigation. Collaborates with Technology Business Operations to ensure purchase orders are created accurately and in a timely manner. Identifies process improvement opportunities and collaborates cross-functionally to implement changes that enhance efficiency, generate cost savings, strengthen vendor relationships, and deliver business value.
SOURCING & PARTNERSHIP STRATEGY
The Manager will contribute to the development and execution of sourcing and vendor management strategies that support WBD’s evolving technology landscape.
- Serves as a strategic advisor and liaison across Legal, Finance, Security, Procurement, and Technology stakeholders, including SVP, EVP, and C-level leadership, ensuring alignment on priorities and timely issue resolution.
- Contributes to the development and refinement of procurement frameworks, negotiation playbooks, and supplier engagement models to promote consistency, efficiency, and value. Maintains strong expertise in sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management best practices; brings insight into market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier innovations. Identifies opportunities for supplier rationalization, cost optimization, and adoption of disruptive technologies that align with enterprise objectives.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
The Manager will support the cultivation and management of strategic relationships with both technology vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, performance, and value.
- Supports the management of enterprise-level vendor relationships, helping address business issues, resolve escalations, and maintain strong partnerships with key technology providers.
- Plans and executes vendor business reviews, including performance evaluations and strategic assessments.
- Prepares supplier debriefs to evaluate performance gaps and recommend opportunities for relationship and service improvements.
- Develops clear, executive-facing reporting and insights on vendor performance, engagement status, and risk for senior stakeholders.
- Advises business partners on vendor capabilities, market trends, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies.
- Builds and maintains trusted relationships across the WBD organization, from operational teams to senior executives.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of vendor records, contracts, and transaction data to support compliance and informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years strategy, operations and sourcing experience in a sophisticated sourcing environment with demonstrated people management experience
- Solid experience and highly developed subject matter expertise in Technology
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field; advanced degree JD/MBA a plus
- Experience in the Media & Entertainment industry with exposure Technology
- Professional accreditation in sourcing / procurement preferred
- Experience supporting complex negotiations and deal structuring, with a working knowledge of commercial and technical considerations.
- Develops and applies financial models (PMO/FMO) to support business cases and inform sourcing recommendations.
- Exercises sound judgment in assessing supplier proposals and recommending sourcing approaches.
- Recognizes cross-functional value opportunities by understanding vendor impact across the enterprise.
- Leverages market research and industry insights to support negotiation strategy and identify opportunities for value.
- Adaptable in fast-paced, evolving environments; maintains focus under pressure and shifting priorities.
- Owns deal execution through strong organization, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving.
- Self-starter and reliable team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight.
- Demonstrates analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a practical approach to issue resolution.
- Strong communicator with the ability to present clear, concise information to cross-functional partners.
- Organized and thorough, with a focus on accuracy, follow-through, and execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexible to support global business needs outside traditional hours

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $78,750.00 – $146,250.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
