Electrification and Automation (EA)

Headquartered in Wendell, NC, the Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We build reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to build the power distribution grid of the future.



Siemens is looking for a dedicated CPM located in Wendell, North Carolina however, the role offers the flexibility of remote work.

Main Responsibilities: Overseeing all project commercial and financial matters, including but not limited to Accounting, Legal, Tax, New Collaboration Model (NCM), and Export Compliance and Control (ECC) topics. The CPM ensures compliance with applicable regulations during both the offer and project execution phases. Additionally, the CPM supports the Project Manager in various tasks to meet project, customer, and financial guidelines. Professional teamwork between the CPM and the Project Manager is essential for the overall success of the project.



Responsibilities

Project Management


  • Oversee the project throughout its life cycle.
  • Empower yourself with signature authorization and project target agreements to manage projects as a commercial entrepreneur, focusing on small and ‘C’ categorized projects.
  • Supports the Project Manager in optimizing financial results with professional care (e.g., project gross profit, cash flow, assets, and financing instruments).
  • Facilitates a seamless handover phase, thoroughly analyzes customer requirements, and evaluates their commercial and contractual feasibility and transferability, including ECC considerations.
  • Drives the review and evaluation of contract conditions, ensuring examination by Legal.
  • Supports the Project Manager in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks and opportunities, and developing strategies and response activities.

Financial Management

  • Ensure the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations and maintain overall project books and records in appropriate systems, such as SAP.
  • Perform month-end activities and prepare commercial documentation for regular project status meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens FRG and local GAAP requirements.
  • Manage financial guarantees, bonds, and project securities continuously.
  • Support the Project Manager in minimizing non-conformance costs and establishing an appropriate reporting structure; implement lessons learned into your projects and the organization.
  • Risk and Compliance Management
  • Manage risks, contracts, and claims by ensuring compliance with LoA guidelines for commercial aspects.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, rules, and regulations for commercial project members, fostering a culture of trust and integrity (e.g., adherence to tax regulations, signature rights, segregation of duties, ECC, EHS).
  • Collaborate with OR, Legal and Compliance, HR (including delegation process), ECC, Customs, external auditors, etc.
  • Manage customer requirements and expectations with the Project Manager.

Basic Qualifications:


  • BS/BA in a related discipline or advanced degree (Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management).
  • 2 plus years of experience in an accounting/finance role
  • SAP experience and knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel (10%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of the field of specialization through successful completion of assignments.
  • Understanding of the organization’s business practices and issues.
  • 3-5 years of successful experience in a related field, demonstrating key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.
  • Siemens CPM Certification or PMP Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in managing small or ‘C’ projects is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a customer-oriented mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.

  • The pay range for this position is $73,500 – $125,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location
