Growbowsky Surgical Center – Short Stay Unit at Temple Medical Center offers the opportunity to work in a fast pace ever changing patient care environment.
· Location: 1st floor of GSC inside of day surgery
· Volume: 10 beds
· Patient population: Short stay acute care/post-surgical patients. Goal is less than 72 hours stay
· Staffing: 2 nurses and 1 PCT/HUC. Charge RN shared with TCU
· Ratio: 5:1
· Staff will primarily work in SSU, but will have the opportunity to work in TCU (Transitional Care Unit) as well
You will experience a fast-paced environment working with multiple patients requiring a variety of care needs while assisting in the organized placement to the appropriate care area.
If you are an experienced Med/Surg or ER RN (Registered Nurse) this is a great place to use all your skills! If you like to be busy and enjoy a challenging fast pace this is the department for you!
The GSC Short Stay Unit offers a unique type of patient care and is looking for that hybrid RN (Registered Nurse) that is ready for a new challenge.

Qualifications – External
QUALIFICATIONS
– EDUCATION – Grad of an Accredited Program
– MAJOR – Nursing
– EXPERIENCE – 2 Years of Experience
– CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION –
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Qualifications
- Grad of an Accredited Program
- Specialized field of study should be nursing.
- RN license.
- Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
