What you get to do:
As a Sr. Building Automation Controls Technician, you will provide key support and perform a variety of tasks throughout our parks. You will:
- Perform routine daily inspections of all control systems in the park.
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems in the park.
- Setup and install control systems for new and existing units.
- Set up schedule and adjust set points for controls with minimal supervision.
- Perform bench and field repair of control systems throughout the park.
- Plan workload with minimal supervision.
- Train others in general system operations and functions, as well as procedures.
- Track maintenance for assigned areas.
- Demonstrate dependable performance in terms of attendance and strict adherence to all safety procedures.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Electrical wiring/devices, motor overhauls and maintenance/troubleshooting of controls and other automated equipment and monitoring devices.
- Utilize the necessary tools required by this position including but not limited to: Multimeter, Network testers, basic hand tools, drills, saws, and other devices.
- Perform duties including but not limited to safety, environmental, asset management and other administrative documentation.
- Use chemicals and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
- Utilize safe handling, storage, and disposal practices with toxic substances and hazardous waste.
- Responsible for adhering to all trainings related to SOP’s, safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company standards.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required including assisting other locations, departments, and areas in the park, as needed.
- Assist leaders with the daily activities and projects.
- Provide direction and point of contact in the absence of a leader.
- Provide exceptional, professional guest service in a team environment.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- 5+ years working experience with Delta Controls and GCL programming years or applicable experience.
- Ability to bend and run various conduit types.
- Ability to draft reports and business correspondence.
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License to meet our company’s driving guidelines
- Working knowledge of HVAC Systems including Hydronics and Air systems.
- Electrical experience in Low voltage controls, devices and installation.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on and interpret manufacturers’ manuals.
- Possess or be able to obtain certification to operate mechanical devices including, forklift, man-lift within 90 days of acceptance of position and maintain certification.
- Excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectation, and needs.
- Ability to work through problems using various troubleshooting methods.
- Have a working knowledge of various building/installation codes as well as OSHA regulations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong Mathematical skills.
- Working knowledge of all hand/specialty tolls and power tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings.
What else is important:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes
Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals - Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
