Job Summary:

Studio Technology – PPE Associate Project Manager

The Walt Disney Studios is seeking a Post Production Engineering (PPE) Associate Project Manager to manage the requests and projects that are related to audio-visual, cabling, and machinery. These technology implementation projects support not only Disney Motion Picture Productions, Marvel Studios, Twentieth Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures but may be other Disney entities such as Enterprise Tech and Television.



This position reports into the Sr. Manager of Studio Technology Operations and Insights.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead 1-3 concurrent technology initiatives with small to moderate complexity throughout their lifecycle and serve as main stakeholder contact. This includes project intake, use case definition, charter and scope definition, project plan development, capacity allocations, resource assignment, project execution, and post mortems.
  • Lead the intake, documentation, and coordination of project/task requests from clients all across the Studio through multiple methods of communication (i.e., calls, direct requests, emails, ticket).
  • Coordinate with other project/resource managers to assign resources to projects/tasks. Assist with prioritizing tasks and availability of those resources.
  • Responsible for gathering and updating projects data, status, requirements, documentation, and artifacts.
  • Responsible for day-to-day project management functions such as meeting notes, action item follow-ups, and project communications.
  • Support sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting. Learn project KPIs and understand dashboards.

  • Familiar with Project Management or ticketing software tools (i.e., Smartsheet, JIRA, Sysaid, Scheduall)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and organizing work effectively.
  • Experience with project management & communication tools (e.g., JIRA, JIRA Service Manager ticketing, Smartsheet, JIRA, TEAMS)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $87,100.00-$116,700.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
