ABOUT THE ROLE
Fox Corporation is seeking a Staff Engineer to design and develop transformative AI solutions across our live, on-demand, and digital content experiences. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on architecting AI/ML systems, guiding technical direction, and rapidly prototyping solutions that redefine how audiences engage with content.
You will work closely with engineering leads, data scientists, and product teams to build intelligent systems that personalize content, summarize video, power conversational agents, and generate real-time insights. You will help resolve architectural decisions, shape AI platform capabilities, and accelerate time-to-value through proof-of-concepts and reusable frameworks.
The ideal candidate brings a deep background in AI/ML systems, a passion for GenAI, and a track record of bridging strategic architecture with hands-on execution. You will contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle, from early exploration to scalable deployment, partnering with teams to deliver thoughtful, high-impact solutions that advance the future of media across Fox Corp.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect and prototype AI-first solutions that enhance fan engagement and media discovery
- Evaluate and guide AI/ML design decisions across teams and engineering leaders
- Design workflows and pipelines for media enrichment, summarization, intelligent search, and personalization
- Develop scalable RAG architectures and GenAI capabilities for production use
- Build systems and prototypes using modern ML frameworks and distributed computing environments
- Drive alignment across product, engineering, and data science through technical leadership
- Contribute best practices, reusable patterns, and documentation to accelerate team velocity
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Experience in software engineering, ML systems, or AI architecture
- Proven success building and deploying AI/ML systems in production
- Deep expertise in GenAI, LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, and content understanding
- Strong experience with live media streaming and video-on-demand workflows
- Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and LangChain
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments, especially AWS, GCP, and Databricks
- Clear communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders and influence technical direction
- Experience with video summarization, topic segmentation, or media intelligence
- Background in building SDKs, ML tooling, or internal AI platforms
- Understanding of evaluation frameworks for generative AI systems
- Track record of sharing technical insights through whitepapers, workshops, or open-source projects

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $160,000.00-175,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
