The Corporate Risk Manager manages, and coordinates the daily activities of the Caesars Entertainment, Inc. Risk Management and Safety Programs, including daily analysis of new claims and report-only incidents, loss control and prevention programs, insurance notices, claims investigation, reserve oversight, statistical analysis, and claims management. This position provides daily oversight and guidance to property Risk Managers and support to the Director and Vice President of Risk Management. This position will also communicate regularly with outside vendors and maintain strong working relationship with all onsite Occupational Clinics.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Review daily new claims entered and Report Only Incident Reports and recommend and administer proper procedure as applicable.
  • Analyze and coordinates loss information and other data necessary for Caesars’ captive operations including regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Process invoice payments, coordinate initial audit responses and analyze financial trends associated with claims reporting.
  • Collect, analyze safety metrics and loss information for inclusion in quarterly Risk Status Reports and prepare for final review and distribution.
  • Plan, develop, and maintain custom financial reports, including trend reporting, and presentations for quarterly trending meetings with Corporate Risk Director and VP of Risk.
  • Verify and review the validity, accuracy, and timeliness of data from various sources and consolidates this data to periodic reports as needed.
  • Provide support on key metrics and claim trending to drive process improvement and cost savings.
  • Acts as primary Safety Officer and loss control support for property risk teams including review and support for OSHA responses.
  • Maintains OSHA complaint logs, MSDS Program and Aclaimant Safety Portal.
  • Ensures all OSHA Regulatory Compliance is completed accurately and timely.
  • Assist Corporate Risk team with identifying claim trends to assist in claim mitigation.
  • Liaison with Risk Management Department Vendors including TPA and Occupational Clinics.
  • Monitor claims activity and assist with efforts to minimize exposure.
  • Ensure that full and complete documentation from the property has been provided to the claim file and all investigations have been completed.
  • Process new legal notices and insure that claims are properly routed to legal representation, and carriers as appropriate.
  • Provide resources and assistance to property risk teams as needed.
  • Oversight of new reserve requests.
  • Be able to provide support and relief to Property Risk team in all specialties.
  • Run analytical reports and loss runs for licensing, financial reporting, and other requests as appropriate.
  • Respond to and/or oversee through proper referral full resolution with difficult and escalated inquiries and complaints from guests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong background in workplace safety practices and principles.
  • Advanced analytical and statistical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative to set and achieve performance goals.
  • Proficient analytic and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to cope with job pressures in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to evaluate claim’s information, and value a claim to probable outcome.
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate, and a self-starter with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize required.

  • Knowledge of the characteristics, services, and activities of a risk management program.
  • Knowledge of safety, loss prevention, and reduction.
  • Strong knowledge of general liability claims and litigation, knowledge of worker’s compensation, property, and auto claims.
  • Familiar with the methods and techniques of claim negotiation and resolution.

Education And/or Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with General Liability and Workers’ Compensation claims
  • Experience with multi-state jurisdictional claims proceedings.
  • Minimum of 3 years Management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is required.
  • OSHA 10 and 30 General Industry is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) and/or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) are preferred.


Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:


  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity.
  • Ability to sit or stand up to 7.5 or more hours at a time.
  • Sufficient auditory and visual acuity to interact with others.
