The Digital Direct Sales team (DDS) is responsible for the Microsoft Store eCommerce experience. We create a trusted online destination for Consumers and Commercial customers to discover, learn and buy the full range of Microsoft products and solutions . The Integrated Marketing team within DDS is responsible f or reaching and connect ing c ustomers globally to Microsoft Store.com through marketing moments and digital growth and engagement opportunities . The Integrated Marketing team generates quality web traffic to Microsoft and engages with customers during their purchase journey to nurture, foster and re-engage . They develop strategic digital retail marketing plans to generate traffic by engaging with current fans and potential new customers .
As the Director, Growth Marketing , you will play a crucial strategic role in the Integrated Marketing team, responsible for driving traffic, customer acquisition, and influencing conversion through innovative marketing strategies for the Digital Direct channel. This role leverages data-driven insights to optimize digital marketing channels, inform planning, and align marketing efforts with the organization’s broader business goals. You will lead a team focused on traffic generation , marketing effectiveness, and investment planning . You will oversee a team of four responsible for Channel Performance , Partnership , Traffic, Acquisition and Organic Marketing. In collaboration with the Data Performance Management team, you will analyze channel performance, measure effectiveness, provide insights and recommendat ions to optimize impact and inform key performance discussions. Additionally, you will centralize global strategic partnerships and joint co-marketing initiatives, unc overing new m arketing opportunities with partners internally across the Microsoft ecosystem and externally with trusted partners. Furthermore, you will deve lop and optimize organic traffic strategies through content, site optimizations, and improving discoverability, with a primary focus on enhancing Microsoft’s eCommerce shopping visibility , rankings, and engagement in search engines.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Design and execute marketing strategies aimed at driving business growth, generating traffic, and optimizing marketing channels and investments.
- Lead key strategic projects to improve business and marketing results and identify new growth opportunities.
Team Management & Collaboration:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of high-performing individuals who manage growth marketing and marketing channel performance, including SEO, paid media and partnership marketing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing strategies with broader business and revenue objectives and optimize regional plans with global market leads.
- Guide teams in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload, and identifying efficiency improvements through AI and automation.
Traffic & Customer Acquisition
- Drive traffic across paid and non-paid efforts to acquire new customers, manage budgets, and investment strategy and planning
- Identify new traffic opportunities and optimize marketing efforts to reach customers.
- Build global strategic partnerships and joint co-marketing initiatives across the Microsoft Network and externally with existing and new partners.
Performance Marketing & Optimizations:
- Achieve traffic targets and make informed investment decisions to drive a profitable and effective Outbound channel marketing plan
- Assess Outbound channel performance and recommend optimization strategies
- Lead Outbound channel reviews and influence organizational monthly business reviews with insights and recommendations
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience of outbound channel level performance measurement, including marketing effectiveness, attribution and impact.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 7+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
- OR Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years people management experience.
- Ability to deep dive into specific business areas or customer experiences and insights and develop recommendations for optimizations and new opportunities
- Influence up, across teams, and effectively make decisions at all levels.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of market and industry trends, as well as customer feedback and product metrics.
- Project/vendor management experience.
- Experience working in a large, global organization with a disparate group of stakeholders and partnering with marketing teams, data analysts and regional field leaders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Integrated Marketing M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 – $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 – $268,900 per year.
